Master of Business Administration Program
Juris Doctor/MBA

Admissions Procedure

Juris Doctor/MBA

All prospective Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration students must first complete the admission requirements for the Stetson University College of Law. During the end of your first year of law studies, you may apply to the MBA Program. You must be independently accepted into both programs (Law School first) in order to participate in the JD/MBA Program.

Once you are ready to apply for the MBA, the Office of Graduate Business Programs of the School of Business Administration must receive the following supporting documents before action can be taken on your application.

We recommend that you first submit the application online. The Office of Graduate Business Programs will then create your file and add items 2 – 6 as they are received. Once all required items are received, your application will be considered.

1) APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION - The matriculation fee is waived for students applying into the MBA portion of the JD/MBA. The cost for the MBA credits taken as part of the JD/MBA program is $750 per credit hour.

2) UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE TRANSCRIPTS - Students enrolled at the Stetson University College of Law should have copies of their undergraduate transcripts sent directly from the College of Law’s Registrar’s Office to the Office of Graduate Business Programs. In addition, an official transcript of your coursework at the College of Law thus far should also be sent to our office. Transcripts are reviewed to determine what, if any, foundation courses are still needed before beginning graduate MBA classes.

3) GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) - Current Stetson JD students who have successfully completed the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) may be exempt from taking the GMAT. Copies of your LSAT scores should be forwarded from the Stetson University College of Law Admissions Office to the Office of Graduate Business Programs.

4) PERSONAL REFERENCES - Please have the Stetson University College of Law’s Admissions Office send copies of the three letters of recommendation used to grant you admission into the JD program directly to the Office of Graduate Business Programs. If they do not have all three letters on file, you will need to submit new letters to our office. Click here to view and download the PDF recommendation form: MBA Recommendation.
